Welcome to the Arkansas Economist, a forum for information and discussion about the Arkansas Economy, sponsored by the Institute for Economic Advancement at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

This new forum will provide an opportunity for economists from around the state to engage in a dialogue with interested citizens, members of the Arkansas business community, and the blogosphere about our state’s economy.

The Arkansas Economist will feature commentary and observations from the Chief Economist and other staff members at the Institute for Economic Advancement, contributions by guest bloggers from outside the Institute, and even breaking news.   This site will only be a true community if you participate, so please send your thoughts to mrpakko@ualr.edu.
